Celloens klanglige muligheter | Oslojazz 2025

Sophie Tudor er en kvintett som spiller musikk skrevet av Selma Edwards Granly. Inspirasjonen er mosaikk, der elementer som melodi, akkorder, tekst, riff, improvisasjon og lydlandskap veves sammen til en større helhet. Utgangspunktet for komposisjonene er å eksperimentere med celloen, og utforske celloens klanglige muligheter innenfor jazz, folkemusikk, visetradisjon og samtidsmusikk i en utradisjonell besetning.


Selma Edwards Granly - cello og vokal, Amelia Gomez Snerte - vokal, Brede Sørum - saksofon, Sondre Moshagen - piano og synth, Gustav Tornberg - trommer og perkusjon
